impact of two religions in a society

Two different religions in a society can create conflict because they can fight for territory and start a big war. For example, the crusades were because the christians, the muslims, and the jewish all wanted jerusalem for themselves because it was holy ground for all of them. Also, it can cause conflict because sometimes both religions want to convert people to their religion. For example, the holocaust was because Hitler wanted all the world to be christian.

Two different religions in a society can create cooperation because can help each other by teaching them what they know in exchange of the same thing. For example, the bahai religion did a course that taught people from different cultures and religions the basic way they see life. This means that bahai is trying to be nice and help other religions.

CWW project self assessment

For me the strengths in the project is that a I had a lot of good and clear information that demonstrated I understood the topic. Also, that my presentation was organized and easy to understand. A lot of people, including me, liked the way I put information besides the illustrations.

Some of the more difficult areas were showing the invisible and visible aspects of culture.
I also had trouble showing region. I could have added more pictures and spoken more clearly. If I were to do this again I would try to add more visual help and speak more slowly.

3.8.A Use appropriate data sources and tools to generate, manipulate, and interpret geographic information such as the location of, size of, and distances between places

I think that I should should get a 3.5 because some of the evidence that I put in the project wasn't so clear and it didn't show my complete understanding.

3.8.f  Analyze the structure and characteristics of different populations and 4.8.b  Explain behavioral norms and taboos in different cultures.

I think that I should get 3.25 because the evidence of one of the features wasn't so clear.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy RH 687 Integrate visual information (e.g. in charts, graphs, photographs, videos or maps) with other information in print and digital texts

I think that I should get a 3.5 because I put visual help but it wasn't showed creatively.

primary and secondary sources

This picture of the constitution of the US is a primary source because it is a original and not a false document. If it was a picture of a false constitution it would be a secondary source.

This textbook is a secondary source because we find the information in the the textbook not from the writers mouth. It the information was told face to face by the author it would be primary.

This artifact is a primary source because it was in a specific place or event that tells us about that place or event.

This is a secondary source because you aren't hearing it from the witness face to face but you are reading what they wrote.

My home

I live in Bogotá, Colombia. Bogotá is cold city located in the middle of a plateau. The majority of the people here are christians. The city is surrounded by beautiful forests that have a lot of flora and fauna. It has a lot of tall work buildings.

Bogotá is located in a plateau in Cundinamarca, Colombia. The coordinates of Bogotá are 4 degrees north and 74 degrees west. Colombia is located in south america. Bogotá is in the middle of the country.

Colombia is similar to other south american countries because they the language is spanish. Also, all of the countries were european colonies. They have similar building structures because they were colonized by similar european countries.

Colombia has changed because now a lot of famous and rich companies have bases in Colombia. That has helped Colombia grow economically. Also, the metro that the government is planning build will help a lot in decreasing the traffic in Bogotá.

The colombians have changed Colombia because nobody knew Colombia but now after the world cup everybody knows and likes Colombia. Also, now that a lot of big companies have settled in Colombia we want to grow more so we build more buildings. We had have to adapt to Bogotá because of the cold weather and rocky terrain.

Mandela's Message

Nelson Mandela changed a lot of lives including mine. This words touched my heart. For me this words mean that if a man is determined to do something, nothing can stop him. That's what Mandela did. Even though he knew that stopping apartheid would be almost impossible, he never quit. Look what he achieved. Mandela is an universal idol.

Do european countries owe money to African descendants?

I think that the European countries should pay reparations to the slaves descendants because what they did in the past was cruel and unfair. Also, when the slavery ended the slaves didn't have money and that turned the Caribbean countries really poor because they were not paid when they worked. The Spanish government paid the slave owners not the slaves. Another reason is that the British prime minister (David Cameron) had slaves Jamaican slaves working for his family so they should pay the slave's family in Jamaica. I think the Europeans should pay for the cruelty and unfairness they did in the  past.

environmental issue

Environmental issue:
Air Pollution

Air pollution can have serious consequences for the health of human beings and can also severely affect  natural ecosystems. The causes are both natural and human. Forest fires, volcanic eruptions, and wind erosion are some of the natural causes. Fossil-fuel burning and automobiles that combust fuel are some of the human causes. Air pollution can cause diseases such bronchitis, lung cancer, and heart disease. They also kill plants, trees and natural ecosystems. Air pollution can be decreased by using less energy, reducing waste, and switching to a non-polluting renewable form of energy. Also taking your bike to school or walking can stop automobile pollution. If everybody does their part we can change the world!
